Craig and Rose Artisan Special Effect Paints

Craig & Rose paint from the Artisan special effect range. Recommended as feature walls, craft product and luxurious finish.

I have been given a few samples which I intend to try out. They really look great in the pots and allow your interior decorator, or you if you're feeling confident, to create really bespoke features.

Metallics and Gold
I'm thinking feature wall as they suggest. A smooth, one colour, metallic feature wall would look great. Use a selection of colours to create beautiful chinoiserie design! Plinths, table tops or legs, kitchen top units, sofa or chair legs. I think they would look good combined with a contrast, maybe matt colour for example; metallic drawer fronts with a contrasting matt surround.

Stone
This would create a great feature wall, as suggested on the pot. It is a flat colour with tiny 'balls' in it which builds up into a great stone looking texture. Low shelf or table base would work well. Or I think anywhere where actual stone would be too heavy.

Glitter glaze
This is really subtle and gives a 'shimmer' to walls, wood or accessories. Paint over Craig & Rose 1829 chalky emulsion colour on walls. Over texture, possibly fabric, bamboo or rough plaster would add another stunning dimension.

Gardenia Pearl
This is semi translucent pearl effect paint. I am excited to use this to create a subtle wall feature using maybe a stencil or masking tape to create a very graphic optical illusion. I just need to find a wall I don't mind painting.

They also have  a copper and copper patina that I would have loved to try. Plus a rust paint with a rust activator solution. I've seen them, they look amazing but sadly I don't have them to try out.

Well I will try them out and post my results.

Off to find something to paint!
